If I were to ask you
for a word
that meant everything,
I have an idea of the answer:
“You,”
and maybe you’d mean it.
But heaven differs
from animal to animal;
Your god is not my god.
I worship freedom.
I seek forever.
We diverge.
And yet...
we love.

Some poets labor for their entire lives to write such a stanza. If I didn't know your age already I would've assumed this was written by someone over 60. Mature work!
a seeker.
