an epic haiku by Joel E.
chapter one starts it
in which Don is introduced
and gaurds take action
Seated in a chair
the papers he signs in blood
not his, so why care?
orders from on high
to hide a company lie
most little and white.
he toured the dock once
the mighty Fabricator
carbon fiber hulk
how does it do it?
empty palletes fill with goods.
no labor needed
magic, beyond him.
more like beyond his training.
his tunnel vision.
he's not a bad man
just not technical, you see.
his day has begun.
---
night, outside the dock
gaurds chat about sports
screams shatter the calm
"was that building C?"
"at this hour, you shittin' me?"
"no, check the board, see?"
they arrive at C
home of the Fabricator
know not it's workings
valuable hardware
they've permission to use force
protect the assets.
peeking through the door
cautious and fearfull they are
but with decent pay...
from the dark: "HELP! WE--"
muzzle flash, they take one down.
one faints to the wood.
what a mess, but wait...
seriously, what a mess...
more than two should make...
"take the survivor
wake her up. I'll call the cops"
"sure thing, Matt" said Nate.
