Lord, please have mercy!
Please have mercy on my soul.
Can't you see my eyes are dimming,
and my body's gettin' old?
Time has taken all my youth away,
I trembles when I walk,
and I often get so tired
merely walking down the block!
So I sit here by my window,
saying silent prayers to you:
"Tell me Father, God of mercy;
What's an old man s'posed to do?"

Very much like a blues song. In fact I sung the words out loud. And being 2 weeks short of 40 I agree with the sentiment. "What's an old man s'posed to do?"
You have captured the spirit of that old man back home so well... I can almost see him and hear him as I read your lines!
Beautiful,
K
If the old doesn't know, can we?
