in awe of spring


crouched on decrepit porch.
smoke billows from my mouth.
buds and birds return after frost.

Yes! In the spirit if not the syllabic law of haiku! I can picture the scene clearly, and the squirrels of detroit don't have to hoard anymore till fall. It's a privilege that I have also billowed smoke from that glorious porch (it's deprepit in a beautiful way like a radiant old man's face). Ah, maybe short haiku-like poems are your specialty. Write on!
